CASE: As a newly formed unit, the department wanted to create a distinct department identity and be able to communicate this identity more clearly. The process included workshops, stakeholder interviews and formulation of new identity.

Through his workshops and interviews of our internal and external suppliers and partners, Roar helped us to an understanding of, how the department is perceived by others and how we perceive ourselves. We now use this understanding in our communication project.

CASE: The Section for Sensory and Consumer Science needed guidance in developing a research group identity as a basis for creating a coherent research strategy for the future. Particularly, the section needed to identify core research themes, scientific competences, needs for infrastructure and internal organization.

Roar facilitated the process in an effective and pleasant way addressing our needs and showing us how to think differently addressing both the internal connections to the Department and outreach to stakeholders.

With a PhD in identity creation in businesses, Roar was well suited to lead the process gaining respect for his high level of knowledge and understanding of the academic world. The few meetings with Roar ended in a concrete and final form for our group identity with many leads on how to connect and consolidate the research strategy to this identity.
